The igeek Firewalk!

The charity firewalk is over and was a great success (and we lived to tell the tale which is a real bonus).

We'd like to say a huge thank you to those people who sent over a donation for our firewalk in aid of the Nepali Children's Trust. We've now managed to raise in excess of £1000 for the charity which will make a big difference to the lives of so many children who face considerable, daily adversity. We only played a small part in raising money with our walk over the hot coals but we had a lot of fun doing so and with such a great group of wonderfully caring people.

Our thanks go out to Steve Stuttard and Pete Newman over at Survivorbility who helped make the experience so much fun. We can thoroughly recommend these chaps if you are ever in need of a team building experience! Thanks also to Hilary Chiswell Jones for organising the evening. There was great food (the burgers were very tasty and the soup was awesome - we really need that recipe!). Lastly, thanks also go to Ted at Illuminarium for the fiery accoutrements and fireworks at the end - so much fire!

We filmed some of the firewalking (excuse the lack of lighting - we're not professional photographers) so please take have a look and feel free to laugh at us as we waddle over the embers.

If you haven't had a chance to donate and would like to, then please head over to our donation page.

Once again, thank you so much for your support!
